Electric Glue, the independent media agency, today announces the appointment of Richard Bond as media director and Lexi Booker as client lead.

Starting his career as a media assistant at Mega Profile, Richard has worked as a business development manager at JCDecaux and client manager at Zenith, where he spent four years, before moving to the position of senior trading manager at Exterion Media. Prior to joining Electric Glue, Richard spent seven years occupying various roles at Talon Outdoor, including that of client director, business development director and lately business director, bringing his Out-of-Home industry experience to an impressive 15 years.

As part of his role at Electric Glue, Richard will be responsible for relationship building and media trading, adding another voice and point of view to the company. Starting in June, he will be working with independent agencies and other media channels to service clients, planning solutions and client investments. His day to day activities will include taking the lead on servicing clients, continuing establishing the system that has been proposed to them, as well as building bespoke communications strategies. Outside of the traditional remit Richard will also be looking at new trading models.

The other new edition to the Electric Glue team is Lexi Booker, who is joining as a client lead on Trainline.com. Lexi’s career started at StarComm MediaVest Group, where she worked as an account executive and senior account executive, before moving at MediaCom to take the role of senior planner and later on that of a planning manager. For the past three years, Lexi has been the planning director at Goodstuff, where she won the ‘Do the right thing’ and ‘Good Idea’ categories at the Goodstuff Goodies Awards 2018.

With over eight years of cross category media planning experience, including FMCG, TMT, retail, finance and property among others, Lexi’s involvement in working with small, independent agencies and large networks, has enriched not only her scope of work, but also her vision when it comes to media communications. At Electric Glue she will be working closely with clients, bringing her view from all different sides, big and small, in order to produce great work and engage people. Lexi is also due to join Electric Glue in mid June.

Richard Bond comments: “I've worked closely with Electric Glue over the past five years. What enticed me to join was their unique proposition in the market. Sacrificing and over committing to one media partner where possible, allows for the amplification ideas across the entirety of a media partner's ecosystem. I couldn’t be more excited to now be joining them full time.”

Lexi Booker adds: “Electric Glue’s approach to media was one of the main things that made me join. The view of trying to connect everyone together, not just connecting media together, but also connecting multiple channels and people to produce the best work. That’s what spoke to me. I think it’s really important that we all pull together to ensure the best work for the client.

Also, the brilliant team and the idea of working in a smaller agency, you are such a close team. The work produced is outstanding. It is the kind of work that I want to do, more thought provoking, not the norm, thinking outside the box. That really appealed to me.”

Simon Orpin, CEO at Electric Glue says: “We are delighted to welcome Richard and Lexi to the team. They are a great edition to Electric Glue and we are excited to be working with them to deliver our clients the best service possible. Richard’s extensive media experience, working on both the sales and planning sides of the business, combined with his 15 years of Out-of-Home industry experience make him the perfect fit for the role of Media Director at Electric Glue. And Lexi’s knowledge of the inner workings of small and big agencies will bring a fresh set of eyes to our client servicing offering.”
